Overview
Fair Chance, Your Chance supported young people who are homeless and NEET (not in employment, education or training) into stable accommodation, education and employment.
This is a group of individuals who regularly fall through the net of public service provision and who can, if not supported effectively, go on to have significantly worse life outcomes and cost the state a significant amount in lifetime costs.
The programme was delivered by Depaul UK, a national charity focused on homelessness and education, working primarily with young people aged 18-24. The three-year-long service provided wrap-around support, guidance and training to help the young people enter stable accommodation, education and employment and sustain positive life outcomes.
Outcomes
200+ vulnerable young people were supported to move into accommodation and/or into employment, with the programme being a top performer in accommodation outcomes among the Fair Chance Fund providers.
